Hi, I'm

MHCI—Mental Health Counseling Intern

I help people who feel anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected make sense of what they’re carrying and find a way forward that feels like their own.

Who I Work Best With

I may be a good fit for you if:

You feel anxious or overwhelmed — your mind is always going, you’re anticipating what might go wrong, or it feels difficult to relax and feel present.

You’ve been through difficult or traumatic experiences — something from your past still shows up in your relationships, emotions, reactions, or the way you see yourself.

You’re struggling with addiction or patterns you want to change — you understand that something isn’t working anymore, but breaking the cycle on your own has been difficult.

You’re hard on yourself or struggle with self-confidence — your inner critic is loud, you second-guess yourself, or you often feel like you’re somehow not enough.

You feel stuck or disconnected from yourself — you know you want something to change, but you’re not quite sure what needs to change or where to begin.

Together, we work through the experiences that have shaped you while reconnecting you with the strength, confidence, and possibility that may be hard to see right now.

My Approach

I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative. You know yourself and your life better than anyone else, so I don’t see my role as sitting across from you with all the answers.

Instead, I’ll listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and help you recognize patterns or connections that may be difficult to see on your own. Depending on what you need, we might use practical coping strategies, mindfulness, therapeutic exercises, or simply create space to slow down and better understand what you’re experiencing.

I can also gently challenge you when I think it may be helpful, always with compassion and respect.

Outside of therapy, I love being outdoors and spending time in nature. In my spare time, you'll often find me mountain biking, hiking, or snowboarding. Being outside, moving through the mountains, and stepping away from daily stressors helps me feel grounded and present.

How I support my clients

I would describe myself as gentle, warm, curious, compassionate, and genuinely interested in getting to know the person sitting across from me.

I love creating art because it gives me a chance to slow down, get quiet, and see things from a different perspective. Over time, I’ve realized the same is often true in our lives. We can spend so much energy trying to push through, fix things, or keep going that we lose touch with what we actually need. Sometimes growth begins when we create enough space to pause, understand ourselves, and reconnect with the people and parts of life that matter most.

My goal is to create a space where you can bring your authentic self without feeling judged, rushed, or pressured to have the “right” answer. I’ll meet you where you are, help you understand the experiences that have shaped you, and work alongside you as you develop new ways of responding to the things that feel difficult.

I want you to leave therapy not only feeling heard and understood, but with greater compassion for yourself, more trust in your own voice, and a growing awareness of the strength and resilience that have been there all along. Vulnerability takes courage, and I want you to feel that you can bring your authentic self into the room.
